Compliance Independence Deputy Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Independence and Ethics
  • Support independence consultations and advise professional service teams on specific cases regarding service scope, client relationships, and business arrangements.
  • Assist in monitoring Independence and Ethics compliance through client acceptance procedures.
  • Participate in maintaining, reviewing, and updating firm independence policies and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with RSM Global teams to address independence queries, potential conflicts of interest, and independence confirmations.
  • Track and report key independence metrics to the Manager and Global team.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
  • Support compliance monitoring and participate in annual internal inspection and quality control programs.
  • Contribute to preparing compliance and SOQM (System of Quality Management) reports for internal and global stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Liaise with relevant departments (IT, HR, Audit, Tax, Advisory) to ensure compliance integration and effective communication across departments. 
  • Policy Development and Training
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and quality control procedures in line with ISQM1 and ISQM2.
  • Support the design and delivery of training sessions on risk management, independence, and ethical standards for staff.
  • Participate in the preparation of templates, guidance, and reports for firmwide compliance communication.
  • Client Acceptance and CRM Control
  • Participate in reviewing and monitoring the Client Acceptance & Continuance procedures.
  • Support CRM data management to ensure data accuracy and compliance with independence requirements.
  • Work with Manager to review CRM reports, resolve requests, and propose process improvements.
  • Internal Inspection and Quality Assurance
  • Support the Internal Inspection process for the firm (HCM and HN offices).
  • Prepare periodic reports and presentations to RSM Global’s Quality & Risk (Q&R) team.
  • Monitor follow-up actions from inspection findings and ensure remediation plans are implemented.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Engage and coordinate with IT, HR, and QARC teams to ensure proper execution of compliance-related initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for BOM and Partner meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or other related business majors.
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in audit, risk management, compliance or relevant areas is preferred
  • Experience in professional services firm experience or global/ international firms is preferred. Experience at the managerial level in a Big 4 Firm is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of independence, ethics, and regulatory issues in a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data management systems is a plus.
